SIA 1748 Siaflex Sanding Fleece (soft/spongy) (P220–P400)

SIA 1748 Siaflex sanding fleece is a particularly flexible, sponge-like abrasive material for surface finishing in the automotive and paint shop sectors. Due to its soft structure, it adapts very well to contours, edges and curves, enabling an even sanding pattern without deep material removal.

Compared to classic sandpaper, the material is significantly more flexible and acts like a sanding sponge. This makes it ideal for mattifying paint and clear coat surfaces as well as for light sanding of filler, plastic and painted surfaces.

Depending on the grit size, the sanding fleece can be used for everything from rough preparation to very fine finishing work. It ensures an even surface without leaving visible deep sanding marks, thereby improving the adhesion of subsequent paint layers.

Typical applications include preparing paintwork, blending transitions and lightly roughening delicate surfaces. Due to its soft structure, it is particularly suitable for work where control and surface protection are more important than heavy material removal.
